Music (Part 1)

As I was driving to my Girl Scout troop meeting, the idea for this posting popped into my mind and I knew I had to write about it. Music! Now, let's face it, there are so many topics to write about concerning music...hence the "Part 1" designation. Do you remember your very first music concert? Think about it for a moment. Do you remember the musical artist, the venue of the concert, who you went with and was it worth the money you paid? My first concert was Duran Duran in May 1984 @ the Meadowlands on a Thursday night. I went with my mom and 3 of my high school friends. The tickets were $15 each. We had the BEST time!! Needless to say, I lost my voice & could barely hear the next day. That didn't matter. It was my first concert. My mom and I still talk about that concert. She had a pretty good time. During the concert, she was able to talk with a father who came with his daughter and 3 of her friends. I don't know how they held a conversation with all that loud music and screaming, but they did. I still have that Duran Duran concert ticket; however, the concert t-shirt is long gone. I must admit, I still listen to their music every now and then. Duran Duran was in concert last year and I wanted to go, but I couldn't find anyone brave enough to go with me. I know you're laughing and that's ok! I will always be a Duran Duran fan.

Hey, let me know if you remember your first concert. It would be great to find out what you remember. Ciao!

My mom bought the tickets for me, my sister and someone else I knew. I sitting in the seats at the CAPITAL CENTER waiting for concert to begin. I had a wonderful time.
