Well friends...the saga continues concerning my quest to be a dog owner. I saw the cutest little beagle on the MC Humane Society website Friday night. She was adorable, but she was 9 years old (63 in human years). I panicked, thinking if I got her, she would not be with me long. Would she be able to go up the two flights of stairs in my house? Then this question popped into my head on Saturday...Should I wait until Spring to get the dog because the weather is warmer? It's so unusual for a Maryland winter to be this cold.
This is a serious decision & I don't want to be laissez-fare about it. I will say that I have been encouraged by many friends to take my time and find the right dog. I know there's a dog out there for me...we just haven't crossed paths yet.
Future doggie...I'm looking for you. Please be patient! :-)
Love the last sentence, Robin. So sweet. :) And your future doggie knows it. Just keep your eyes, options, and heart open. Remember, COPPER (my yorkie) chose me. I wasn't looking for a little dog like that. Didn't even KNOW what a Yorkshire Terrier was. But for it to be a good fit... DEFINITELY take your time. And two words as my advice...
