I joined Twitter about 2.5 weeks ago. It sounded exciting to read what people were doing. I was following Anderson Cooper, Sherri Shepherd from The View and Oprah. It was also interesting to read the tweets of Dame Elizabeth Taylor, Demi Moore, P. Diddy, John Meyer, Jordan Knight from NKOTB (don't ask) and Justin Timberlake.
I deleted my account yesterday. I got bored with the whole Twitter thing. Sometimes things that sound exciting, just don't appeal to everyone. Oh, well. I'm still thinking about joining Facebook. I've been thinking about this for over 6 months. I have to ask myself why I want to join Facebook. To be nosey? To catch up with old friends? To be apart of pop culture? Just because? I hope to make a decision by the end of the summer. I'll let you know my decision.
Robin, you HAVE to join FB. It's more conversational and fun than Twitter. Your post actually inspired me to PEEK back at my Twitter account... yup. Twitter did NOTHING for me. My last post was 12/9! ; ) I think it's the 140 limit of words. I'm not good with brevity in communication. Hehehe!
ReplyDeleteMy friend Janyce was also apprehensive about FB at first (I was too, actually... felt sort of voyeuristic). But I walked her through it over the phone. She's in Chicago.
I told her to JUST have 'me' as her friend and she could get a 'feel' for how it works. Like easing into cold water. She's "IN" now!
For what it's worth... here's another perk of FB... I had a question about getting my One Verse First cards 'out there' so I posted my question and had 20-30 EXCELLENT suggestions from friends I'm connected with. And everyone can see eachother's comments. Like a huge conversation with all the people you care about. Really really nice.
Hope you try it out! : )
