Have you seen the commercial for Bloom grocery stores where the cartoon baby animals sing about the current week's specials? That song tickles me. Since there is a Bloom about 10 minutes from my house, I decided to venture over there. This would be my first visit. My goal was to buy grapes for 99 cents/pound (one of the week's specials). I usually grocery shop @ Shoppers, but I was willing to give Bloom a try. Wow! This was an interesting visit. Everyone was friendly. I had a conversation with the store manager about how to cook eggplant and another shopper wanted my opinion about baking sugar cookies with rainbow sprinkles mixed into the dough. Even though I found food prices @ Bloom to be higher than Shoppers, that did not stop me from buying my grapes and a few other really good bargains. Plus, I am the newest owner of a Bloom Card. Oh, my goodness, Becky!
